Martha Cheng is a writer based in Honolulu. Her writing appears in publications including The Wall Street Journal, EatingWell, Eater, Frommer’s, Hana Hou, Hawaii, and Hawaii Business. She was previously the food editor for Honolulu Magazine and the Honolulu Weekly. She has degrees in Computer Science and English from Wellesley College. In past lives, she was a line cook, food truck owner, pop-up restaurant operator, Peace Corps volunteer, and Google techie. She came to Honolulu for a boy and stayed for the people and ocean. She was born in San Francisco, but really prefers surfing in Hawaii.
